2.1 Booking
Appointments are made online or in person. A booking is only confirmed once you have received written or verbal confirmation from us.
2.2 Appointment duration
Initial appointments are typically 60 minutes. Follow-up appointments are typically 30 or 45 minutes. Appointment durations may vary depending on treatment requirements.
2.3 Arriving late
If you arrive late for your appointment, we will do our best to provide as much of your session as possible within the remaining time. The full appointment fee will apply regardless of late arrival. If you are running late, please phone us as soon as possible to let us know.
2.4 New patient information
New patients are asked to complete a pre-assessment and consent form prior to their first appointment. Please complete this accurately and in full – this information is essential to ensuring safe and appropriate treatment.
3.1 Cancellation by you
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we will give you as much notice as possible and offer you the earliest available alternative appointment, or we will refund you the full amount.
4.1 Fees
Our current fee schedule is available on our website and will be confirmed at the time of booking. Fees are subject to change — any changes will be notified to existing patients in advance.
4.2 Payment
Payment is made at the time of booking or at the time of the appointment by card. Amex is not accepted.
4.3 Insurance
We work with a number of private health insurers. It is your responsibility to confirm your cover with your insurer prior to your appointment, including any excess, authorisation requirements, or session limits. We cannot guarantee that your treatment will be covered. Any shortfall between the insurer’s payment and our fee remains your responsibility.
4.4 Overdue payments
If payment is not received within 14 days of the invoice date, we reserve the right to charge interest on the outstanding amount and to suspend further appointments until the balance is cleared.
5.1 Consent
Your informed consent is required before any assessment or treatment. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time. Some assessments may involve internal examination — this will always be explained in advance and will only be carried out with your explicit consent.
5.2 Clinical decisions
Vicky Carey is a qualified and registered physiotherapist. Treatment recommendations are based on clinical assessment and professional judgment. You are always free to ask questions, seek a second opinion, or decline any aspect of treatment.
5.3 Scope of practice
Physiotherapy does not replace medical care. If we identify any concerns that fall outside our scope of practice, we will advise you to seek appropriate medical attention. We do not offer emergency or critical care and you should contact emergency services on 999 if that is what you require.
5.4 Referral letters and reports
We are happy to provide referral letters or written reports on request. These may attract an additional fee. Please allow up to 10 working days for written reports to be completed.
